If you could change three thing about India what would we do?
India
is country of diversity. The ‘incredible’ status that this country has is worth
being there. I am a proud Indian so as a part of being Indian, I am
argumentative and I do complain about things invariably! ;)
Here is
my list about things that I would like to change about India.
Star
status
Actually
there is no need to give ‘them’ star status. They are just actors on a screen
who gets lots of money for their work. Being a fan is alright. Being a Big fan
is also good but treating them as God is stupidity. Being an actor here (even
when when you smoke, drink, ride cars over people, kill animals, act in movies
equal to crap) is being a star which irritates me as an educated person.
Daily
soaps.
If
there is anything worse than an Indian daily soap then it is another Indian
daily soap. I mean seriously? Your mother-in-law would place salt in the place
of suger in the kitchen and you would add it in your Kheer (An Indian sweet)
without even noticing? How stupid!
Note :
I went into coma for a minute when I came to know that ‘Dil mil gaye’ was
Indian version of American drama series ‘Greys anatomy’!
Intercast
marriage as a taboo.
You can
not do an Intercast marriage proudly without any hurdles and taunting from
society unless you are Karina and Saif.
It is a
taboo. People would judge you when you chose to marry someone from another
cultural background. Irrespective of their level of education people WILL judge
you.
Bride’s
father has to put up ALL the expenses of marriage.
Still
in majority of parts in India Bride's father (Ladkiwale) is the one who puts
with the expenses of marriage ceremony even if he gets indebted for it. Why?
Any logical reason?
Most of
the girls eligible for marriage are earning today. Their parents raise them
with values, educate them, make them self independent equal to boys. Marriage
is big deal for groom's family also, then why only Bride’s parents?
